Projects!

So here's what I'm up to now:

I'm making a DVD-style commentary for "Sock Puppet." It's totally self-indulgent, but it's fun. So much easier than writing! And there are bonus materials and everything, including a behind-the-scenes look at Xander's tattoos, and a whole deleted scene! [livejournal.com profile] yourlibrarian is even putting in a few comments of her own.

I'm getting back into the Fragments-verse. It's taking a little while to get my head back into that story, but today on the commuter train I worked with the opening scene for the next chapter.

I'm also looking at finishing the London Calling sequel that has been languishing on my hard drive (about three-quarters finished!) for a good two years now. [livejournal.com profile] yourlibrarian is very good at motivating me.

Oh, and I was thinking of making a listing of the meta-essays I've written over the past few years! (That's a project for a time when I'm seriously procrastinating about something else. Perhaps in a few weeks when I'm supposed to be marking final exams?)

that video sounds interesting....when do you think it will be ready for world premier?

London Calling? which fandom is that?

Ahha! A fellow procrastinator! Now I don't feel so bad....

Oh, it's not actually a video—it's just the story with my comments in it. :)

London Calling (http://shadowscast.popullus.net/london_calling.html) is also a Spike/Xander (BtVS) story.

These are all excellent things! Commentary on the writing process may seem self-indulgent to you, but trust me when I say that it will be fun for others.

Also, I'm starting to get excited about reading about the Fragments boys again. But then again, I've pretty much constantly been excited about your writing since I found out about it. So much so that I'm pretty sure I've developed some sort of mind control superpowers and I am somehow making you write stories that are perfect to me.

Or, it could just be that your talent really resonates.

I'm voting for superpowers ;)

What are meta-essays?

Hm, maybe that was a confusing abbreviation!

I meant essays about metatextual matters, like "Is it accurate to say that Andrew is canonically gay?" or "Why do I like slash?" Like what the [livejournal.com profile] su_herald lists under "meta."

Are you doing the commentary chapter-by-chapter or is it going to be posted all at once? 'Cause personally, I'm voting for chapter-by-chapter if it means we get to read it sooner. ^_^

And yay for the London Calling sequel! I can't believe you've been hiding a fic from us for that long...

I'm planning to post the commentary all at once, actually; it's going on my website, where the story is posted all in one piece. Yay for you being interested! :)
