I've finished posting my story at [livejournal.com profile] fall_for_sx. Yay!

Sock Puppet

And now, I'm going to celebrate by going to bed on time for the first night in quite a while!

ETA: Also cross-posted to [livejournal.com profile] bloodclaim.

I ran out of steam to comment on the last couple of chapters, but it'sas good as anything you've written, which says a whole lot, and recommended in its proper place.

Julia, and if somebody'd going to go, that's a damned good way to do it.

Thank you for this story it was really, really good.

No-one can do human Spike like you, the way he wants everyone to feel his doing good only against his will, the snark and attitude all there. Xander is spot on as well.

I 'm not much of a lover of human Spike turning to drugs but it is something you could imagine hm doing and is in keeping with his character. I'm so glad he died a hero and found peace.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm not sure if you'll get this reply, since it's been a while since you posted, but I'll respond to a couple of things anyway:

I'm so pleased you like my Spike and Xander. Yay!

The drugs thing, yeah. Spike is not in a good place at all in this story, and canonically he does tend to seek chemical oblivion when things get rough. Xander's guess that he was self-medicating was pretty spot on.

So finally Spike was allowed true oblivion, and he saved the world. I think it's the best ending I could have given him, though I know it was sad, too.

Ohhhh! I just snuck a peak at all of the feedback for Sock Puppet at Fall for Spike and it is so exciting that you're getting the recognition that you deserve for such a beautiful story. Of course, I think ALL of your stories are worthy of such a reception, and to see you get it really is a delight!

This story was absolutely amazing! While this was not an ending I was expecting, it really was the only one that would work. Thank you so much for writing this.
