My wild hopes of catching up to the end of Angel right before the final episode airs have been dashed. The friend who's lending me his tapes refuses to give me Angel S5 until I've watched Buffy S6 and S7.

"But I've read the transcripts online!" I wail. "I know what happens!"

"But D doesn't know," E says reasonably. (D is my husband, who has been watching Buffy and Angel with me but wasn't sufficiently obsessive to read the transcripts.) "Also, you don't remember the cookie dough speech. You're not allowed to see Angel season five if you don't remember the cookie dough speech."

"I'll summarize the relevant plotlines for D!" I cajole. "I'll look up the cookie dough speech!"

But E remains stalwart.

Also it turns out I wouldn't have been able to watch the last ep along with the majority of online folks anyway, because apparently it airs on Wednesdays in the States but not until the following Mondays here in Canada.
