Now that I've finally finished writing "How The Light Gets In," I need to decide what to do next.

First of all, there's "Family," the giant WIP in my original fandom (Once A Thief) which has been stalled since May, 2003. I still refer to it as "stalled," not "abandoned," because I do still intend to finish it; maybe now's the time. I already have more than half the final part written, and I know at least roughly how the rest of it's supposed to go; it would be silly not to finish it. Plus I've been feeling guilty about it for two years.

And there's still more I'd like to do with the Fragments 'verse. I have ideas for a short prequel, showing what happened with Spike and Angel and Illyria to get them to the point where Xander finds them in "Late Night Porn Store Blues." I also have ideas for a piece set later, when Spike and Xander are together and working for the Council. And I also think it would be fun to tell Willow's story.

Also, on my website "London Calling" is a standalone, but in my head it's the first part of a trilogy. The second part of the trilogy is maybe a third written (I started it in the fall, but then abandoned it in favour of the Fragments 'verse), and the third part is at least vaguely conceived of.

Oh, and I really have to start working on some non-fanfic writing, too!

Oh, yeah, more of the "London Calling" story environment, now THAT I could handle.

Julia, allegedly finishing my next chapter but actually waiting for my family to GO AWAY so I can read S/X and avoid the whole reality thing.

Well, I'd love to read the new pieces in the Fragments 'verse - especially the prequel - but I'd also love the sequel to London Calling.

Probably, anything you write will be good by me, although never having seen (or even heard of) Once a Thief, I'd probably give that one a miss. I think it's great that you want to finish it, though, and I hope you're able to.

No, I didn't know that—didn't even know that it existed, actually! Neat. Thanks for pointing it out! :)

I definitely need to finish Family. You definitely need to help inspire me by watching the rest of the episodes with me. Free this week?
