I bought a ticket!

Dear Flist: Thanks for your help! I thought about all you had to say, and thought about my general (not always acted upon) philosophy that I'd rather have an adventure than sit at home doing nothing, and also reminded myself that I'd certainly be going to Toronto this summer in any case to see my family/friends there, so really the only extra cost is the ticket, and this may very well be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Plus, my husband was all "Go for it!" (He has his own strange hobbies which will be taking him to Toronto this summer. *cough* Warhammer Grand Tournament.)

So I've bought a "silver" ticket to see James in Toronto, which is good for one autographed thing plus the Q&A session.

Now, having committed to this adventure—I'd really, really like to meet other LJ fen there, but I have no idea how to find out who's going. Is there, like, a logical community where I could post a query? Anyone got any ideas?

Good for you for going to see James! I don't know any organized way to find out who's going, but I think sp23 is going. She's really nice and another terrific Spike writer. She might know of others who are planning to attend, too. Maybe drop her a comment? Have fun and tell us all about it!

I'm going to the con for sure (though haven't bought any James tix, and likely won't) and would love to meet up. Also more than willing to provide Trusty Native Tour Guide services, as I adore my beautiful city and love to show it off to guests.

A bonus if you're interested: I was thinking of bring the Spander!art originals with me to show to any interested Bloodclaim girls that might be attending.

And yeah, I'd love to find out who else among us might be there... it would be great to meet up.
