shadowscastI watched "Doomed" today. (Mid-term break: a day off school. Yay!!!)
I enjoyed watching Riley tell Buffy off for being determined to be miserable and alone. She never really gets it, does she?
Poor Buffy. Her life really is hell a lot of the time, but sometimes I get tired of her "you don't understand me" self-righteous gloominess. Especially because she never seems to make a real effort to understand the people she uses that line on.
Also, Riley's terrible cover story when he encounters the Scoobies in the school (just walking by...in an army uniform...playing paintball) and Spike's even worse American accent. Hee! Comedy gold.
Anyway, the real fun in "Doomed" was watching Willow and Xander reluctantly take care of suicidal!Spike. That's wonderful, angsty h/c stuff. And hey, did you notice that when they're moving into escape mode, a beam falls on Spike and temporarily knocks him out, and Xander drags him to safety?
It makes me want more. More, more, more! Someone must have fanficked this episode with a Spandery twist, right? Let me wallow in the angst and then make it better with kisses?
