What comes next
Jul. 24th, 2007 02:30 amAs of today, my
summer_of_giles fic is finished. Woohoo! And a full six days before the my posting date—wow. Very unlike Sock Puppet, which I was still frantically working on in the wee hours of the day it was due.
I have confirmed, though, that writing to a deadline is good for my writing but bad for my general stress levels and ability to cope with the rest of my life. So, um, remind me not to do that again? (I mean, I know I said that last time too.)
Here's what I want to do next, fannishly, on my new relaxed schedule:
1) Update my website; finally put up that 200 word comics fic I wrote back in April, which I have finally (and somewhat pretentiously) named Sequential Art.
The main reason I delayed putting this thing on my website for so long was that I couldn't decide whether a double drabble belonged in the drabble section or the story section of my fiction listing. I finally solved the problem by makign a special section for it in the drabble listing. I can be weirdly obsessive about categorization.
Of course, tonight when I tried to actually update the site, I discovered that my free FTP client had expired. D'oh. (Anyone know a good free FTP client?)
2) Finish the DVD commentary for Sock Puppet. I think I have only one or two chapters to go.
3) Post another chapter of That Good Night before I go back to work on August 17th.
