shadowscastRemember how I mentioned a while ago I was obsessed with the idea of human!Spike? So I happened to stumble across this story, which was pretty satisfying in that regard:
It's Got to be Perfect by Speaker-To-Customers.
Halfrek offers Buffy a wish, and Buffy wishes Spike were human. Things don't go quite as planned, but they do go in some rather interesting directions. It's satisfyingly long, and though it's listed as a WIP I found that the place where it currently ends gives pretty good closure; at least it certainly doesn't end at a cliffhanger.
