Ready Player One (brief thoughts)

I watched Ready Player One tonight, snuggling on the couch with Mr. Shadowscast + the kid.

I feel like the experience of watching that movie even a week ago would have been very different. Now the idea of doing most of your living in a virtual world feels very ... present.

Ha! Yes, I'm about to make a post which mentions how we may start seeing our lives and cultures differently now.

I am pretty sure that this is going to be a moment when our world suddenly changes in permanent ways. (Up there with the fall of the Berlin Wall and 9-11, in terms of historical events that I've lived through.)
