I've been thinking, off and on, about how you were going to get from where the last chapter ended to "Human Frailty" and not having a good time of it, but this sets everything up in a way that makes perfect sense. AND you do it in a way which is natural, easy, and uncontrived, which really takes a delicate touch.
Unwilling to let go of the story, but eager for the next chapter, anyway!
