You can get a London travelcard, with various zones, ie. the cheapest are just for the central part, (1 zone card) and the most expensive (4-zone I think) gets you travel to the outer parts of London - you can get one day, or one week, or one month cards if I remember rightly. They don't have your name on them, so you can give them to someone else if you've finished with them, or if you can't afford one and its later in the day, you can hang around at the station exits and scrounge a card off someone who's finished their travelling for the day - I can see Spike doing that if he's not up for jumping the barriers or pinching one. Some stations there's no-one on duty at certain times of hte day, so you could potentially travel for nothing if you knew which stations were unmanned and when.
