Fic post: Late Night Porn Store Blues
Feb. 6th, 2005 10:20 pmHi folks! I haven't been writing or reading much lately, since I've been busy with work. But I had a long weekend, and I got some writing done...
I've been sort of fighting with myself over writing. There are the things I think I should be writing (long, unfinished stories)...and then there's what I actually just spent the whole day writing. Oh well. It's a standalone, sort of, although it's also part of what's forming into a loosely connected series consisting of this new piece and two others.
The others are "Not The End" and "Human Frailty." The former (which used to have a different title, which I hated) is a snippet I wrote immediately post-NFA, just to give my own take on how the story could continue past the last frame of NFA. The latter is a shmoopy h/c thing I wrote one day when sick. "Late Night Porn Store Blues" slots between them, chronologically, and tries to answer a few of the how did we get there from here?" questions implicitly raised by "Human Frailty." And doesn't end up answering very many of them, frankly.
Heh. I sure am determined to talk this thing to death before I post it, aren't I?
Now that there's three stories, loosely-connected as they are, I'm going to name the series. I dub it: the Fragments series. Title from T.S. Eliot's "The Wasteland": "These fragments I have shored against my ruins."
Anyway. I'm posting raw and unbeta'd, since this is my LJ (which I still think of more of a workshop than a gallery; I have my website for finished, polished works), but if someone feels moved to beta it, please write to me. I will love you and credit you. And now, before I talk myself out of this:
ETA: I forgot to say when I first posted, this is Spike/Xander preslash!
