I had a lot of fun choreographing Xander and Spike's run-ins with everyone from the past. *g*
Angel just about broke my heart, asking Xander about the shanshu.
Man, I still haven't forgiven Angel for re-writing history in order to give up his humanity in "I Will Remember You" (AtS S1). Dear Angel: that was your chance for the life with Buffy that you and she had dreamed of. You gave it up because you couldn't stand losing your superpowers. Stupidhead.
I really thought you'd take a different direction with this story -- Spike's illness, and his more-or-less buried unhappiness with his humanity, led me to believe that you *might* do something different. I wonder what might happen if you continue his story... I hope you do, but I'm a little scared...
Heh, you're not the only one. There is definitely foreshadowing there for the possible sequel. I worry, though, because the sequel could turn out to be much darker than the previous installments, and I fear that everyone would be upset with me.
